About the Program

Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen (Industrial Engineering) is a synthesis of engineering disciplines such as mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and the fundamentals of economics, especially business administration. The Bachelor of Science program provides knowledge, skills, and methods required to understand, analyze, interpret, and design economic and technical structures, processes, and developments. It focuses on program, process, and factor planning, control and rationalization of ongoing processes, their economic assessment, and decision-making based on both technical and business foundations. Students choose between mechanical engineering or electrical engineering at the beginning of their studies. The program includes two practical phases before and during studies to provide insight into industrial company workflows. Students can set individual focuses in technical elective modules. After completing the bachelor's degree, graduates can either enter the workforce or pursue a master's degree.
