About the Program

The 'Higher Service of Tax Administration' program trains civil servants for the financial administration of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The three-year study program combines academic university education with practical training in tax offices. It features regular alternation between university and administrative work, ensuring comprehensive and practical teaching of almost all areas of tax law. Besides tax law and economic subjects, methodological competencies are also taught to meet the diverse requirements of the working world. After successful completion, graduates can work throughout the state's tax administration - in tax offices, the Regional Finance Directorate Karlsruhe, or the Ministry of Finance.
