About the Program

The Bachelor's degree programme in Spanish Language and Literature introduces students to the methods and subjects of Iberian and Latin American linguistics, literature and media culture studies. Students acquire foreign language, literary, linguistic and cultural studies as well as (inter)cultural competences in the field of Hispanic Studies (Spanish), taking into account the Portuguese-speaking countries. In addition, the degree programme provides students with fundamental key skills that enable them to carry out independent academic work, for example in the areas of media-supported research techniques, intercultural project work, critical discourse skills, knowledge management and digital philology.
