Christianity and Culture

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The degree programme in Christianity and Culture focusses on the origin and current state of Christianity as a cultural phenomenon. The degree programme covers theoretical and empirically-founded aspects of the subject and offers students the opportunity to develop a specialism of their choice. The Bachelor's degree programme is largely based on cultural studies, and prepares students to enter the job market. Graduates are able to solve problems independently and have developed the methodical and practical skills required to enter employment. The program consists of three modules: a basic module, an advanced module, and a specialized module. Students must demonstrate knowledge of a source language only if they select the Old Testament (Hebrew), New Testament (Greek) or church history (Latin or Greek) as a specialism.
