About the Program

The MA program in Social Work is a consecutive, application-oriented program with a special focus on the challenges of social change and social sustainability. As specializations, students can freely choose in the 2nd MA semester whether they want to deepen the area of "Management" or the area of "Transformation Processes". Further elective options allow students to design an individual study profile. The program is designed as a full-time program with 13 modules and a standard period of study of four semesters, in which a total of 120 ECTS are awarded. The Master's degree in Social Work alone is not sufficient for state recognition in the state of Brandenburg. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work is necessary for this.
