About the Program

Master's students look at the field of science journalism more from a research perspective after having been prepared for professional practice in the bachelor's phase. The Master's degree program can open up an academic career. On the other hand, students in the master's phase should also expand their abilities to research topics in the natural sciences, technology and medicine in a structured manner and to report on them appropriately. On this basis, they should be enabled to work in journalism also in leading positions, especially in currently reporting mass media. The following subjects are available as a second major: Medical journalism & life sciences, physics, technical journalism and data journalism.
