About the Program

The subject of psychology is the description and explanation of human behavior and experience. To this end, psychology investigates the internal and external causes of human behavior in order to derive general laws that extend across the entire lifespan and to determine individual differences. As an empirical science, it consists of both natural science and humanities and social science components. The Bachelor's degree course in Psychology at the University of Siegen offers a broad foundation course consisting of methodological training (empirical-scientific work, statistics, diagnostics, experimental psychology internship), the basic area (general psychology, biological psychology, developmental psychology, differential psychology, social psychology), the application area (clinical psychology, work psychology, organizational psychology and educational psychology), a work-related internship and the Bachelor's thesis.
