About the Program

Academic Content The Summer School programme provides students with an overview of RWTH Aachen's research concerning Industry 4.0. Headed by the Cluster of Excellence "Internet of Production" of RWTH, the following currently important research topics are discussed: automation and information technology, materials science, production technology and smart decision support. With this wide range of topics, you will acquire a better understanding of the potentials and risks of Industry 4.0. Practical examples are presented in case studies and use cases from different fields of production technology. For further information about this programme, click here. Visit our website for more courses! After your arrival on Sunday, we will gather for a welcome orientation. In the following weeks, there will be a lot of social events to support the instruction and the course-related activities. At these events, you can get to know the other participants, our beautiful city of Aachen, and the places in the surrounding area. Then during the last days of your stay, you will take a final exam to earn your certificate. At the weekends and after the farewell event, you can take advantage of the short travel distances and discover more of Germany and Europe on your own or with your new friends!
