Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

Physics is the key to a modern understanding of nature and forms the basis of all modern future technologies. Studying physics means understanding the laws of the physical world and learning how to apply them. The bachelor's degree in physics provides the necessary tools. The course is divided into a basic course in the first semesters, in-depth modules in connection with the key research area (such as nanophysics or the physics of condensed matter), and a final semester for the research module and Bachelor's thesis. BTU offers supervision-intensive and practice-oriented education with students integrated into research projects during the bachelor phase. Through cooperation with research institutes like the Leibniz-Institute for Innovations for High Performance Electronics (IHP) or the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS), students can conduct research at non-university institutions.
