About the Program

The four-semester Master's program 'Organizational Pedagogy' serves to acquire in-depth professional knowledge and operational competencies that enable scientifically oriented work with regard to analysis, design, and reflection of structures and processes of education and support in the field of tension between individual and organizational logics. The program is aimed at those who - after a first academic degree and some practical experience in educational fields - seek to deepen their professional profile in the context of educational planning, control, and management functions in and for organizations, or who want to work in research. The program's profile is characterized by an empirically founded and theory-guided study concept in the sense of exemplary learning through a pronounced reference to the field of work with practical elements that are bindingly integrated into the studies and corresponding integrative support services. Possible professional fields for graduates are primarily in the following areas: staff and management positions in education, social and health care, especially in state or non-state institutions of youth welfare and further education; agencies and institutions of different sponsorship that deal with project-based development or evaluation assignments; departments within profit or non-profit companies that are entrusted with development tasks in the areas of education and support; university and non-university research institutions; or institutions of social and educational policy or administration with state, regional or municipal planning functions.
