About the Program

The Munich Graduate School of Economics (MGSE) offers a distinguished doctoral programme in Economics to outstanding young and motivated researchers. Doctoral candidates at the MGSE are provided with thorough training in advanced methods in economics. They are taken to the frontier of state-of-the-art research. Members are integrated into a stimulating research environment composed of an ambitious and excellent faculty and a large network of research institutions and facilities. The MGSE does not charge tuition fees for attending the doctoral programme. As the umbrella organisation for the department's graduate education the MGSE coordinates various institutions and programmes. All doctoral candidates from these institutions or programmes conduct their research and their doctoral studies under the doctoral regulations of the Department of Economics.
