About the Program

The dual Diplom degree course in mechanical engineering combines theory and practice, allowing students to develop, improve and test machines and technical systems. With the KIA (sandwich-style) degree course (cooperative study with integrated training), students optimally combine theory and practice and graduate with two valuable qualifications: a degree in engineering and a recognized vocational qualification as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics engineer or in another metalworking profession. The program includes in-depth knowledge in design theory, technical mechanics, thermodynamics, manufacturing technology, control technology, and more. Students alternate between university and training company every 4 weeks during the foundation phase. After completing vocational training (approximately 2.5 years), students can specialize in Engineering Design or Production Engineering.
