About the Program

The transformation of our energy systems towards sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions is one of the greatest global challenges of the 21st century. On the Diplom degree course in energy and environmental engineering, you will acquire the specialist skills to actively help shape this challenge. You will develop innovative technologies for the use of renewable energies, design efficient energy storage systems and optimize energy technology systems - always with a focus on sustainability and environmental compatibility. The program combines theoretical foundations with practical applications, with the first three semesters focused on engineering fundamentals. After the third semester, students choose between two specializations: 'Applied Radiation Technology' or 'Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency'. The fifth semester is designed as an internship semester for gaining professional experience.
