About the Program
The Academic Speech Therapy/Logopedics program is offered by the Faculty of Human Sciences at JMU as an integrated dual Bachelor's program with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. It is a single-subject study program. During the seven-semester standard period of study, 210 ECTS points must be earned, with practical skills only acquired outside the university. For this purpose, students at the university additionally need a training contract from the Vocational School for Logopedics Würzburg as a cooperation partner. Academic speech therapists/logopedists are experts in the diagnosis, therapy, counseling, prevention, and research of language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in adults and children.
