From hearing aids to pacemakers, from MRI scanners to hybrid operating theatres, from hygiene to laboratory analyses - the expertise, experience and innovative strength of medical engineering are everywhere. The Medical Engineering degree programme provides broad, interdisciplinary knowledge including scientific, precision engineering, electrical engineering and medical subjects. With demographic change and increasing chronic illnesses, medical engineering is becoming increasingly important. The program is tailored to current requirements and future technologies. Graduates can work in hospitals, the medical industry, or research institutions developing and designing medical products, maintaining devices, working in sales, consulting, quality assurance and more. The program offers practical experience with modern digital development methods, 3D printing labs, clean room manufacturing processes, and radiation protection courses. Students can choose their own specialization modules in the final stage of studies.
