Special emphasis is placed on botanical and zoological species knowledge. Additionally, economic and legal perspectives and methods of landscape analysis are taught. Students receive basic economic training similar to that required in agricultural and forestry sciences. Lectures and seminars are supplemented by practical courses and excursions during semester breaks. The program is structured in three parts: Basic modules (17 mandatory modules providing fundamental knowledge), Elective modules (5 modules chosen freely to gain specialized qualifications), and the Bachelor thesis which concludes the scientific education.
