Jena Schumpeter Center for Research on Socio-Economic Change (JSEC)

Bachelor

About the Program

The JSEC is an interdisciplinary centre which offers doctoral training in several programmes: The Graduate School on Social and Behavioural Change (GSBC) www.gsbc.uni-jena.de The Graduate College Economics of Innovative Change (GK EIC) www.gkwiwi.uni-jena.de The principal research focus is interdisciplinary, in line with our conviction that answers to research problems related to social and economic change will definitely benefit from insights offered by neighbouring disciplines. An existing lacuna in a sometimes restricted disciplinary solution can thus often be closed. Our preference for an interdisciplinary approach, however, does not deny the disciplinary strengths in identifying problems and suggesting promising solutions.
