Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The International Management Bachelor's programme is a practice-oriented programme which aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to take on a position in the field of business administration for an international enterprise active within any sector, or any association, scientific institution or public body. Students will gain specialist knowledge in the field of business administration within an international context and, as a result, they'll be qualified to pursue a future career in middle management. The program includes a mandatory semester abroad in the third semester, and students may choose to spend their fourth semester studying abroad or completing an internship with an international element. Students also have the opportunity to gain a second qualification (double degree) from a higher educational institution abroad. In the first two semesters, students take basic modules in business administration. In the third or fifth semester, they deepen their knowledge in international business administration with modules like International Corporate Finance, Advanced Marketing, Business Transformation, International Marketing & Sales Management, International Management Accounting, and International Strategic Management. The sixth semester includes further international business courses and ends with the bachelor thesis. According to the examination regulations, the program requires students to complete at least one mandatory semester abroad (3rd, 4th, or 5th semester), with the option to complete two semesters abroad. Alternatively, one of the two semesters abroad can be replaced by an internship semester with international focus either abroad or in Germany. The Bachelor thesis (8 ECTS) and final colloquium (4 ECTS) are completed in the 6th semester.
