About the Program

Food Science is a program that comprehensively covers technical, economic, and nutritional aspects of the food industry. The program prepares students for careers in a dynamic and crisis-proof sector. In the first two semesters, students learn the basics of engineering and natural sciences, which are applied to the field of food in accompanying exercises and practical courses. From the third semester, students choose between two specializations: Food Technology (Bachelor of Engineering) or Food Economics (Bachelor of Science). The fourth semester is a complete practical semester where students can gain insights into their future professional field at various food companies in Germany and abroad.
