Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)

About the Program

The Bachelor's program in Energy Economics and Energy Data Management focuses on the challenges of ensuring a stable energy supply, with a particular emphasis on electrical energy. The program addresses the liberalization of the energy market, which has led to the dissolution of traditionally defined supply areas and allowed many new, independent players to enter the market. The curriculum follows the value chain of the energy market, covering the separate areas of production, grid operation, and trading. The technical part of the education is based on electrical energy and environmental technology, complemented by economic aspects such as energy trading, energy policy, business processes, grid operation, regulatory management, and sales. Students also study the connection between information and energy technology for energy automation and intelligent grid management. The program offers a seven-semester study variant with the option of a practical semester, allowing students to establish contacts with companies, expand their practical knowledge, and enhance their intercultural competencies through stays abroad.
