Economics and Law

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

The Bachelor's program in Economics and Law combines both disciplines to provide students with both economic and legal perspectives. The program teaches fundamental knowledge in economics (especially business administration) and the essential basics of law. This interdisciplinary combination enables students to recognize and constructively solve not only the economic side but also the legal side of problems. After a standard study period of three years (six semesters), the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is awarded. Business administrators with a degree covering both fields - law and economics - are sought-after specialists in large, medium, and small companies as well as internationally active enterprises. Possible employment opportunities include industry, crafts and trade, banks, insurance companies, consulting firms, auditing firms, tax consulting practices, and other service companies, as well as associations and political organizations. There are also potential fields of activity in public administration at state and federal levels, as well as within the administration of the European Union.
