About the Program

Minor subjects serve for university qualification and personal profile development. The focus is on the academic and didactic training in the respective subject so that it can be taught as a school subject. Minor subjects can only be studied in addition to basic subject areas. The study is conducted with less weight and scope than the other subjects - therefore, a minor subject can only be taught in lower secondary education (Sekundarstufe I) and only with the approval of the responsible school authority. Minor subjects generally cannot be taught in upper secondary education (Sekundarstufe II). The minor subjects are freely selectable. The following overview lists all currently possible minor subjects and the respective model courses.
