About the Program

This study program is aimed at those who want to pursue a demanding career in healthcare close to people. The focus of the study and subsequent professional activity is on holistic, interprofessional, and science-based practice. The program consists of 19 compulsory modules and four elective modules to be completed in six semesters, comprising 180 credit points (CP). The modules include topics such as nursing competencies, evidence-based clinical care, scientific work, and interprofessional practice. The program is based on the longitudinal connection between scientific methods, models, and theories of health and nursing with the corresponding nursing skills in terms of evidence-based nursing science, as well as an interprofessional orientation that includes extensive communication skills. In interprofessional teaching and learning situations (IPL), the different professional groups from the qualification branches of doctors, nursing scientists, and nurses are prepared for the upcoming interdisciplinary collaboration during their education. Students can choose from three elective specializations: Oncology Nursing and Palliative Care, Emergency Medicine Nursing and Intensive Care, and Pediatric Nursing.
