Arts PädagogikEducation

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The Bachelor of Arts in Pedagogy offers a scientifically grounded, interdisciplinary and practice-oriented education. The program qualifies students for work primarily in non-school educational professional fields. The range of tasks in pedagogy has become increasingly diverse in recent decades. Students acquire fundamental skills for central fields of action, such as child and youth welfare, continuing education, migration pedagogy, or special education. The foundation consists of scientific theories and models as well as practical methods to appropriately reflect on and develop pedagogical action with an open view to the future. The study program is divided into four areas: a basic area dedicated to the fundamentals of educational science, an extensive profile area characterized by interdisciplinary knowledge, practical field access, and methodological competencies, a reference area that supplements with relevant topics from psychology and sociology, and a smaller development area that supports the start of studies, progress, and career entry.
