How does the Studienkolleg Feststellungsprüfung process work?
The Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) is the final exam at the end of the two-semester Studienkolleg, covering German plus two subjects of your course. For applicants on the Studienkolleg route, it is the last step before applying for a bachelor's programme.
How the exam is set up
- It takes place at the end of the Studienkolleg under the KMK framework.
- Subjects: German + two subjects of your course type. Course types are T, M, W, G and S at universities and TI, WW, GD, SW and DÜ at Fachhochschulen. Your course determines which two subjects are examined.
How your grade is calculated
- Your Turkish school grade is converted with the modified Bavarian formula.
- Your overall grade is the mean of that converted grade and your FSP grade.
If you fail
- You can repeat the FSP once.
After the FSP
- Passing does not guarantee admission. You still apply to the university before its deadline, and the university decides.
- An FSP from a Fachhochschule Studienkolleg does not give access to a university (Universität), so choose your course with that in mind.
- TestAS does not replace the FSP or exempt you from the Studienkolleg.
