About the Program

The research-oriented Master's program in Business Informatics builds on the Bachelor's programs in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Digital Business Management. The target group is prospective students who want to deepen their competencies in the classic focus areas and cross-cutting topics of business informatics. The Master's program deepens the scientific examination of computer science applications in business. Special emphasis is placed on the development, provision, and operational integration of information systems. The Master's program in Business Informatics broadens and deepens subject knowledge with a special focus on information system design and implementation tasks, enables independent scientific work, and lays the foundations for further development of subject knowledge. The program qualifies particularly for independent and leadership activities and is characterized by scientific rigor, promotion of independence, judgment and decision-making ability, and proximity to research. The latter particularly promotes innovation capability and opens up attractive career opportunities. Graduates of the program are sought-after leaders as dual experts in information technology and its business environment. After completing the Master's program, there is also the possibility of pursuing a doctorate.
