Building on the knowledge and competencies of an initial degree in economics, the Master's program offers qualifying education and training for leadership functions in middle and upper management, corporate and business management. Graduates of the Master's program in Business Management (M.Sc.) have in-depth knowledge in the areas of Strategic Management, Business Ethics with Corporate Social Responsibility, Quality, Innovation and Motivation Management, Planning and Control Systems, Risk Management, Organizational Development and Consulting, Leadership, Conflict Management including Business Mediation, Methods of Empirical Research, Statistical Data Analysis, Problem Solving and Decision Making under Uncertainty, Economic Policy and Legal Comparison. They are able to understand corporate management as a task of controlling complex systems and to consider social, economic, ethical, and scientific aspects in decision-making. They can critically reflect on their own thinking and behavioral habits, know the limitations of their own judgment, and appropriate ways to obtain expertise. They are able to lead teams, use diversity, competently negotiate differences of interest, and professionally balance them. In their master's thesis, they demonstrate that they can analyze questions in organizations using empirical research methods and derive well-founded approaches to solutions.
