About the Program
This is a teaching program for secondary schools (Gymnasium/Oberschulen) following a consecutive Bachelor/Master structure. The Bachelor program consists of studying two subjects with a teaching option. At least one of the subjects must be a compulsory subject, while the second can be either another compulsory subject or an elective. The University of Bremen strives to provide a largely non-overlapping course offer to facilitate studying two subjects simultaneously. The university coordinates programs that encompass several subjects, so that about 70% of all possible subject combinations can be studied without any overlap, allowing completion of studies within the normal timeframe. Subjects are assigned to one of three subject groups (A, B, C), and combining subjects from different groups allows study without overlap within the normal period.
