About the Program

The supplementary programme leading to a certificate enables students to take a second teaching subject (formal qualification to teach a subject), whereby the scope (60-76 credit points) varies depending on the teaching subject chosen. Students who are simultaneously enrolled on the Master's Teacher Training Course for Technical Education may apply for the programme after successfully completing the second semester of the Master's Teacher Training Course for Technical Education. Students can also apply to take the course later (also after completing the preparatory phase of teacher training). Students are admitted to the subjects provided that places are available. Students acquire the formal qualification to teach following examination by the recruiting educational authorities. Students can choose from the following teaching subjects: Protestant Religious Education, Catholic Religious Education, Mathematics, Physics, Politics or Sports. The programme consists of modules from the Bachelor's Teacher Training Course for Technical Education and the Master's Teacher Training Course for Technical Education. No practical training is required.
