About the Program

The supplementary programme leading to a certificate enables students to take another complete teaching subject (formal qualification to teach a subject), without having to complete practical training or courses in education sciences. The third semester of the Master's Teacher Training Course for Grammar Schools is the earliest stage at which students can apply for this programme. Students can also apply to take the course later (also after completing the preparatory phase of teacher training). Students are admitted to the subjects provided that places are available. The course is generally divided into an introductory phase and a specialisation phase, worth at least 95 CP, and corresponds to full-time study lasting four semesters. Students can choose from the following teaching subjects: Chemistry, Role Play, German Studies, English Studies, Protestant Religious Education, Catholic Religious Education, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Politics and Economics, Sports or Values and Norms.
