About the Program

This is a certified continuing education course in Systemic Counseling/Family Counseling (DGSF/DGfB). Based on Humanistic Psychology, systemic counseling derives its concepts from the basic assumption of human social competence. The orientation towards individual and social resources as well as the analysis and design of relationship systems are central features of the method. The exploration of systems in their relationships, interconnections, forces, and possibilities leads to system assessments and interventions with change and growth goals. The resource and solution-oriented approach shapes the concept of counseling. In addition to theoretical discussions, self-awareness and professional training in the counseling field are in focus. The course consists of 6 modules totaling 67 ECTS credits and spans 770 teaching hours over 2.5 years.
