About the Program

Growing poverty, unequal educational opportunities, climate change and social injustice: the future needs doers who tackle the problems and don't just talk about them, who care about future generations. On the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Sustainable Social Policy degree programme, you will learn to take a critical look at our social system, analyse problems, develop proposals for solutions and communicate them to the right target group via the media. The programme deals with the entire spectrum of social policy including poverty and wealth, educational opportunities, climate change, social injustice, unemployment, pensions, health insurance, co-determination, elections and intergenerational contracts. Students deal with topics from the social sciences, media and communication studies, economics and law. During the seven-semester course, they learn to recognise and analyse social problems, develop sustainable solutions and communicate these to different target groups.
