About the Program

The master's programme 'Sustainability Economics and Management' aims to train graduates to become Sustainability Experts. It provides them with factual knowledge as well as analytical, interdisciplinary, and social skills to work in businesses, NGOs, or international organisations. The program addresses challenges such as global warming, loss of biodiversity, poverty, and epidemics. Over four semesters, students earn 120 ECTS points through 16 modules (6 ECTS each) and a master's thesis (24 ECTS). The curriculum includes basic modules in Environmental Economics and Management in the first semester, followed by accent modules in Applied Environmental Economics, Strategic Sustainability Management, and Sustainable Supply Chain Management in the second and third semesters. Students can specialize in areas such as Energy, Climate, and Development; Sustainable Innovation, Digitalization, and Entrepreneurship; or Environmental Management, Planning, and Conservation.
