About the Program

The Master's program in Strategic Communication focuses on the strategic planning and implementation of communication in companies and organizations. Students develop comprehensive competencies for today's and tomorrow's communication practice. The program addresses central challenges of corporate and organizational communication, including crisis communication, public affairs, responsibility, sustainability and ethics, internal communication, and strategic science communication. Students analyze communication campaigns and research on current issues in the field. A key element of the program is the close connection between theory and practice. In addition to a solid theoretical foundation and the application of empirical research methods, the direct transfer to communication practice is emphasized. In main seminars, students develop communication concepts for practical partners from business, agencies, or NGOs. Guest lectures and workshops by experts provide valuable insights into professional practice. The program features interactive learning formats, project-oriented small group work, and excursions.
