About the Program

The Master of Science in Sports Science at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is a consecutive research-oriented master's program with two different study focuses: Profile B "Health Promotion and Therapy through Sport" and Profile C "International Sports Management". Profile B "Health Promotion and Therapy through Sport" provides specialized knowledge in the prevention and rehabilitation of lifestyle diseases, sports injuries, and selected neurological-psychological disorders. Students acquire in-depth indication-related methodological competencies in the conception, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation programs with a focus on internal medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and psychosomatic conditions.
