About the Program

The Bachelor's program offers foundational knowledge and methodological skills in language, literature, and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries and regions. The aim of the studies is the scientific description and interpretation as well as the ability to prepare and convey this knowledge. The program strives for a broad qualification that opens up various professional fields or enables students to set their own priorities within the study areas. All courses contain high foreign language components. The program covers: Literature Studies, Linguistics, Culture and Media, and Language Practice. In the basic studies, students acquire broad knowledge of linguistics and literary studies and develop basic skills in their application to linguistic phenomena and literary texts. The advanced studies lead to an expanded understanding of selected linguistic and literary problems corresponding to the current state of research.
