About the Program

Soziale Arbeit (BASA-online) is a part-time online study program (Blended Learning) that allows students to study while working - the workload for the study is approximately 20 to 25 hours per week. Besides pure online modules, which make up about 75% of the studies, there are also in-person modules (25% of the studies) offered at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer in block courses. The program provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge, competencies, and skills in the areas of social work sciences, methods, forms of work, and fields of social work, as well as reference sciences of social work. Students also have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and skills in ten work and action fields of social work. This program is offered in a university network and provides a proven and uniform curriculum that leads to an academic degree in Social Work with state recognition.
