About the Program

The Sociology minor provides fundamental insights into the subject of sociology and an overview of current areas of sociological practice. After completing the minor course, students will be able to adopt and compare basic theoretical perspectives on questions and problems relating to social differentiation. Students will master the necessary scientific working methods to access introductory and basic sociological texts independently or under guidance. In addition, students will be encouraged to reflect on the intersections of their major subject with the Sociology minor and to adopt interdisciplinary perspectives of both disciplines. An integral part of the combined Bachelor's degree is the MarSkills programme, in which students will acquire valuable, future-oriented skills.
