About the Program

The study programme "Social work with specialisation in social space development and organisation" provides specialisation in social space-related social work in all fields of action (e.g. in child and youth welfare, disability support, migration work, work with the elderly, educational work). The study programme imparts knowledge in methods and concepts of social space development and organisation, the practice of social space research, research methods, management and social enterprises. It deepens theoretical access to social work and to social processes of social differentiation and socio-spatial disparities. It creates access to the strategies of individuals and institutions to shape, manage and control social space processes. The programme is run jointly by the Fulda University of Applied Sciences and the Rhein Main University of Applied Sciences (Wiesbaden). Two thirds of the university studies are carried out as e-learning modules, one third as face-to-face studies.
