Science in GeographieGeography

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

Geography is much more than geography lessons at school. The aim of the study is to capture, analyze and shape the spatial environment of humans at regional, national and partly global level. In addition to a broad foundation of natural and human sciences knowledge, physical-geographical, geo-ecological and economic or social-geographical recording methods are taught. Students at the University of Halle spend a lot of time in the field, in the laboratory and at the computer. A successful completion qualifies for a subsequent Master's program, for example International Area Studies and Global Change Geography 120 LP, but also for initial specific tasks and problems in professional practice.
