About the Program

The Comparative Romance Studies - Spanish program is an interdisciplinary course that opens perspectives on pan-Romance issues starting from the language studied in focus (Spanish) and enables students to develop and pursue comparative knowledge interests. The study serves to acquire an expanded, interdisciplinary and pan-Romance scientific expertise. It aims to stimulate a networked view of Romance languages, literatures, and cultures and, through this comparative perspective on Romania, to enable methodologically reflected analysis of the interdependence of languages, literatures, and cultures. The subject Comparative Romance Studies - Spanish can be studied as a first or second subject. In addition to the in-depth studied language, a second Romance language (French, Italian, Portuguese, or Latin) is chosen within the module offering. The program creates the prerequisites for further scientific qualification (doctorate) and also qualifies for a broad spectrum of professional fields in education and science, media and public relations, cultural management, marketing, and tourism.
