About the Program

The Master's program 'Romanistik' started in the winter semester 2020/21. The focus of the program is on individual philologies (German Studies, English Studies, Romance Studies, Slavic Studies/Russian Studies), which gives students an in-depth insight into their chosen language focus, its cultural space, and its literature. The program aims to deepen the competencies taught in the B.A. Romanistik. It includes practice-oriented offerings with project-based seminars and an integrated practical module that can be completed domestically or abroad. This promotes optimal acquisition of linguistic and professional competencies and prepares students for careers in publishing, diplomatic service, advertising, and media (television, film). The program consists of a Romance main subject (50 CP), a minor subject (40 CP), and a thesis module (30 CP). It qualifies students for various professional fields in business, publishing, public employers, media, etc.
