About the Program

The Romance Philology program focuses on languages derived from Latin, particularly French, Italian, and Spanish. In this Master's program, students acquire advanced knowledge in Romance linguistics and literature, and improve their language skills. Students can choose from three specializations: A) Literature and Cultural Studies, which provides comprehensive training in Romance literature and cultural studies; B) Linguistics, which focuses on theories and methods of traditional and modern Romance linguistics; or C) Literature, Cultural and Linguistic Studies, which combines content from specializations A and B for a broader knowledge base. The program prepares graduates for research and teaching activities in the university sector, as well as careers in publishing, libraries, media, journalism, cultural and scientific management, political institutions, international companies, tourism, and public relations.
