About the Program

The Refinement of Polymer and Composite Products (RPCP) is a globally unique Master's program that provides in-depth knowledge of strategies and possibilities for refinement of plastics and composites to give them higher-quality properties. The program combines scientific teaching, practical training, and small research projects. Students can work on research during their studies as part of national and international projects and can deepen their international experience with a semester abroad. The program is completely taught in English and offers two specialization options: 'Engineering' (where students choose six elective modules besides six obligatory modules) and 'Research' (where students define their own research topic and choose two elective modules besides six compulsory modules). The curriculum combines basic lectures such as Advanced Mechanics, Advanced Material Science, and Mathematics with specialist lectures like Research Management, Material and Surface Characterization, and Coating Technology and Functional Surfaces. After completing the Master's thesis in the third semester, graduates receive the degree 'Master of Science' enabling them to proceed to a Ph.D. program.
