About the Program

The postgraduate study programme "Master of Science in Public Health" at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf is targeted towards prospective students with professional experience in the health care system. This four-semester study programme trains health care experts who are able to identify and assess health problems at the level of population groups and to develop and implement practical measures to solve them. The programme is designed to be studied extra occupationally within 4 to 8 semesters. It has a modular structure consisting of an introductory, in-depth and specialisation phase, and is offered in the form of courses of 2-5 days each. In the specialisation phase, students can choose between two focus areas: "Epidemiology and Prevention" and "Health Care Research and Health Economic Evaluation".
