About the Program

The Psychology minor program provides insights into theoretical perspectives and empirical approaches of psychological research. Students learn to discuss, evaluate scientific quality, relevance in everyday life, and practical applications. The program offers first insights and deepens knowledge in self-selected basic and applied areas of psychology. Students learn how to apply this knowledge in selected interdisciplinary practical areas (e.g., in educational, health-related, organizational, or economic contexts). The program begins with insights into four of the following basic areas: Perception and Cognitive Psychology; Learning, Emotion and Motivation Psychology; Biological Psychology; Developmental Psychology; Personality Psychology; Social Psychology. Students can choose specialization in one of these application areas: Work, Organizational and Business Psychology; Educational Psychology; Neuroscientific Psychology; Health Psychology.
