About the Program

The Bachelor's program in Psychology (60 LP) is a complementary study program that can only be studied in combination with a second partial study program of 120 LP. Graduates of this 'small' Psychology program should acquire a basic understanding of psychological issues, working methods, and results, enabling them to recognize psychological aspects of their professional activity in their main field and apply simple psychological principles. The program aims to provide an overview of the content, structure, and basic methods of psychology; introduce the most important sub-areas of the basic disciplines to enable access to specialized literature; and, if applicable, provide an overview of psychological approaches in application disciplines. The program is characterized by a family-like atmosphere that promotes performance, short distances, and a balanced mix of basic and practice-oriented research. Research focuses include cognitive psychology and environmental psychology. In the field of applied psychology, the focus is on work and organizational psychology as well as clinical psychology.
