About the Program

The application-oriented master's degree course 'Psychosocial Counseling and Law' qualifies and prepares graduates on a scientific basis for psychosocial, social and legal questions. The program offers a well-founded practice-oriented scientific education, counseling competencies in four basic orientations of social intervention theories (systematic-solution-oriented, psychoanalytical, person-centered, and behavior-oriented), evaluation methods for counseling services, integration of legal and psychosocial counseling methods, individual teaching counseling, practical supervision and coaching competencies, and the possibility to complete a doctorate after graduating. The program has two focus areas after the third semester: 1) Counseling/Law/Case Management and 2) Counseling and Psychotherapy in the life span.
