About the Program

The minor subject "Protestant Theology" provides the opportunity to acquire a basis for a scientifically substantiated study of the contents and objects of Protestant Theology. As well as discovering core areas of Protestant Theology, a major objective is to learn the scientific approach and how to implement it in practice. The minor subject taps into the historical and religious foundations of Western culture on a wide scale and teaches key competencies such as language skills and historical and systematic thinking and knowledge. After completing the course, students will be able to identify the links within the theological disciplines and link theological contents to topic areas from other academic fields. They will also be able to interpret theological contents in the context of contemporary social problems and discuss solutions.
