About the Program

Continuing Master's program for graduates of Protestant religious education, diaconia or theology who are looking to broaden their professional perspectives. The Master's program deepens psychological, pedagogical as well as theological competences and opens up a variety of opportunities in the church job market: from religious education in schools to church projects and leadership positions all the way to ordained pastoral ministries. The program imparts pedagogical, theological and didactic skills needed to organize congregational work within churches and teach religious education in schools. Special emphasis is placed on training personality-related competences and conversation skills, counselling and pastoral care. The three-semester program focuses on pedagogical work with people of all ages, reflection on religious education challenges in schools and congregations, development of professional identity, theory and practice of project learning, and deepening biblical, systematic and practical theological competences.
